Game-specific notes

  • Projected/stencil shadows are the main frame-rate cost here — they hurt more than internal resolution.

  • Alpha and particle effects dominate the fill rate in busy scenes.
  • Enable the game's own 480p/progressive mode in its video options — faster and sharper.
  • Upscaling can misalign the post-process pass; keep Half-Pixel Offset on.
  • Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is a top-tier demanding title — target a stable 80% before chasing resolution.

Before you blame the emulator

  • !Only ~3.5GB RAM: close every background app, disable Android's memory-hungry live wallpaper/edge panels, and avoid save-state spam — states are the most common OOM crash cause.
  • !This combination is CPU-bound, not GPU-bound. Raising resolution barely hurts and lowering it barely helps — the cycle-rate and shadow settings are where your frames come from.
  • !Night-vision / thermal vision triggers a full-screen post pass. If speed collapses only in goggle mode, that's expected — not a broken setting.
  • !Change one setting at a time and test in the same demanding scene, otherwise you can't tell what actually helped.

Profiles are heuristics based on SoC class, RAM and per-title engine behaviour — test in a demanding scene, not the menu.
